“Save the Flyers” Conference

On the 18-th of December 2014 the BatLife RO project manager participated at the final conference of the LIFE+ project “Actions for the bat protection”, organized by Comunità Montana dell’Esino-Frasassi in Fabriano (AN), Italy, where the project’s results were presented. The “Save the Flyers” project, took place in the Gola della Rossa e di Frasassi” Natural Park and the Amiata area (GR) during 5 years (January 2010 – December 2014). The 3 partners, Comunità Montana Amiata Grossetano, Comunità Montana dell’Esino Frasassi,respectiv Enel Distribuzione S.p.A, had two main objectives: the conservation of bat population and the stabilization of the reinstated two populations of Red kite (Milvus milvus).

During the conference presentations were held on the bat conservation subject. The “Bat conservation in the Pădurea Craiului, Bihor and Trascău Mountains” project and its results were described  in a presentation and the display of the movie made in the frame of the project.
